The Freedom to Fight
You were created to be free, to be transformed, to make a difference.
Next Truth
Today, God is inviting you to step out into freedom, to step forward and join His family, His army. He’s inviting you to break away from your old life and be reborn into something new. God is inviting you to exchange your citizenship of the world that’s bound by darkness for a citizenship in His Kingdom of light.
You can decide to stop living like most people do and be set apart for something GREATER (something EXTRAORDINARY). You can make a real difference in the world and in the lives of those you care about. Come as you are and then become more. The journey WILL transform you.
This is what ancient Greek warriors would have called a “kairos moment”. Your life’s journey, all of the challenges, tests and trials, ups and downs, setbacks and scars, have led you here… prepared you for this. THE God who created the universe is calling you. And as I said earlier in this video series, no matter how dirty you think your hands are, how many bad or shameful things you’ve done, NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING disqualifies you from His invitation!
Aren’t you tired of being deceived, distracted, and manipulated by Satan? You weren’t meant to live this life, stalked by a supernatural enemy, without God’s supernatural help. You can’t just try harder or do better. WITHOUT God, the enemy’s fight against you is not a fair fight. WITH God, it’s an assured victory. God wants to raise you up as His child, equip and train you to stand against the enemy’s schemes, and fight for you. He wants to empower you for the life you were uniquely created for. God’s plan for you is freedom, and healing, and an inner peace that will stand immovable in any storm that comes your way.
Just in case I’m talking about God in a way that doesn’t match up with your view of Him, please know that the most dangerous of all our enemy’s lies are the ones that keep us from seeing God how He really is. Especially if your father here on earth wasn’t quite the father he should have been for you… you NEED to stop and see Father God differently. PLEASE this is SO important. Father God is NOT some mean-tempered bully in the sky wanting to judge you for not following some set of rules. He is NOT mad at you or disappointed in you. God actually LOVES you. Yes YOU. It’s not a soft and sappy kind of love. It’s the kind of love that is always there for you no matter what you do; love that would sacrifice everything for you—even die for you. It’s the type of love you would expect from a perfect father - strong, protective, patient, forgiving, and supportive.
Father God knows you better than you know yourself and I PROMISE you that He only wants the best for you. Here are a few of the things that Father God says about you in the Bible:
God wants you to let HIM lead because He knows a better way than you do. God wants you to invite Him into EVERY area of your life because He IS the solution. God wants you to relinquish your tight grip on trying to control things in your life that can’t really be controlled anyway and let Him handle those situations. God wants you to learn His ways because it’s how to know the comfort, and rest, and peace of mind that can only be found in Him. God wants you to spend time with Him, getting to know Him because YOU ARE WORTH MORE THAN EVERYTHING TO HIM!
I don’t know where you’re at today, if you have a relationship with God or not, if you’re aware of the enemy’s schemes or not, or if you feel like you’re even up for this fight or not. I know... that you CAN do this. YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS. Do NOT let the enemy steal this from you. In the next (and second-to-last) video, I want to introduce the King we follow, God’s son Jesus. He’s the same King calling you to follow Him, Arise warrior, arise.
